Discover the artistry behind our shoes

Each pair of Elandetta shoes is the result of traditional techniques, modern precision and the hands of skilled makers.

The ARTISANS

Skilled artisans with years of experience shape every pair, bringing an understanding of proportion, balance and detail that defines the line of the shoe and the precision of the fit.

Hetty Rose, trained at the London College of Fashion, brings her background in bespoke shoemaking and her eye for refined, colour-led design. Working in partnership with her co-founder, whose original vision shaped Elandetta, design and craftsmanship are developed together from the outset. Every decision reflects an understanding of how luxury footwear should move, feel and endure.

Each form begins with the last, crafted in Northampton by master last maker Sonny, establishing the balance and silhouette of every pair. As a quiet nod to this British heritage, every pair of Elandetta shoes features a yellow suede lining — a detail that connects each shoe back to the yellow lasts at the heart of the design. Production continues in a family-run atelier in Portugal, where traditional European craftsmanship meets modern precision. From first cut to final polish, each step is executed with skill and care, resulting in footwear defined by precision, longevity and confidence in every detail.

materials

Every material we use is chosen with care, purpose and longevity in mind. We source leather exclusively from Leather Working Group certified tanneries, supporting responsible practices in chemical use, energy management and traceability. Chosen for their richness of colour, texture and quality, our leathers are designed to age beautifully over time. Offcuts are thoughtfully repurposed into swatches, extending the life of each material while helping customers experience the true colour and texture of our shoes at home.

By working closely with European tanneries and family-run ateliers, we keep our supply chain considered and our standards high. Every component, from heels to boxes and dust bags, comes from partners who share our respect for craftsmanship and thoughtful production. Our packaging is designed to be both beautiful and purposeful, protecting each pair while helping preserve its shape and longevity.

Materials define not only the look and feel of every pair, but the confidence that comes from choosing beautifully made shoes well.

Made with Intention

We produce in small, deliberate runs, ensuring that every release is carefully considered and thoughtfully executed.

Each quantity is planned with precision. Materials are ordered with purpose. Every pair is created with the expectation that it will be worn often and valued for years.

For us, sustainability is rooted in quality. It means making fewer, better things and designing them to last. A well made shoe should feel timeless in your wardrobe and worthy of care over time.

As we grow, we will continue to support the people and training that keep British shoemaking visible within the industry, helping preserve the skill and knowledge behind the craft.

When something is chosen carefully and made well, it earns its place in a wardrobe for years to come.

Revive service

At Elandetta we offer a revive service for our handmade shoes, including sole and heel replacement and new padding where required. The service is designed to extend the life of each pair and reflect our commitment to a circular approach to craft.

Every request is assessed individually and carried out by skilled makers with the same care and precision as when the shoes were first made. Contact us to arrange a revive or to learn more about aftercare and repair options.
